After 25 years, the STRANGE ANIMAL returns.
OMINOUS. SPIRITUS.

The spring thaw came a bit early though all too briefly between March 11 and 18 in this year 2011. And the Ice Age of a solo career long untapped seems to be flowing slowly back into familiar territory. The five shows in this month from the Return Of The Strange Animal blitz-extravaganza were all I had hoped they'd be.

My thanks to all who attended and particularly those who undertook distant pilgrimages to be in Niagara Falls on March 11 and 12.

I hasten to gratefully acknowledge the skillfully delivered performances given by the line-up of musicians onboard for a second year:

- Todd Sucherman (drummer from a band called 'Styx')
- Taylor Mills (singer with a guy named 'Brian Wilson')
- Terry Gowan (bass player/ vocalist with 'Gowan' and musical prophet from back in the 1980's)
- Peter Nunn (keyboardist of the 1985 vintage)
- Danny J (guitarist extraordinaire from way back in 2010).

As you witnessed, their weighty contributions added much to the ongoing reclamation of the Strange One. Our three nights back in La Belle Province were received with a warmth that broke the winter's grip and left me wanting to do it again... and again. Should we do it again? Oui. Un prochain fois s'il vous plait.

So, let's see if we can't extend the party before the end of civilization in 2012...or perhaps I've been given misinformation and 2012 is actually the year of re-awakening for giants and other creatures who will walk this earth in the next Golden Age?

Who can say with any degree of certainty?

Hopefully 2012 could prove to bring us another chance to clear up some ongoing affairs on this Great Dirty World.
Let us rock forth with abandon and may your Moonlight Desires come to be your new reality.

Please rise. Ominous Spiritus,

Gowan
